"Women still remember the first kiss after men have forgotten the last."

Day 10-Discuss your first love and first kiss.

My first love and first kiss were both with my junior high/high school boyfriend Jacob. I think there'd been a few pecks on the cheek before but nothing earth shattering- even at the time. And this was junior high.

Our first kiss was after seeing the movie Catch Me If You Can. I want to say it might have been Valentine's Day but I could be wrong. For whatever reason, I knew this kiss was coming so the entire movie was just a blur of sweaty palms, nervous glances and really clever hijinks by Leonardo DiCaprio. Jacob never got the courage to do it during the movie but went in after the credits rolled and everyone else had left the theater. He mostly kissed my teeth but I was still pretty pleased.

I'm lucky enough to still be friends with Jacob and I have to say that for a 14 year old I had pretty good taste because he's an excellent guy.

"Other things may change us, but we start and end with family."

Day 09- How you hope your future will be like. (Not entirely sure that's proper grammar.)

I don't think my hopes for the future are much different from most. I hope to have a happy, loving, challenging, exciting marriage. With my husband I want to raise two or three healthy, happy children that we can comfortably provide for and I hope to do it all in a God-centered home. I'd also be okay with an insane amount of dogs...or at least two.

"Wouldn't it be great to stand at the edge and not worry about the fall?"

Day 8- A moment you felt the most satisfied with your life.

That one right there.

I don't know what it was about our trip to New Hampshire this fall but it's one of my favorite all-time memories.

Kyle and I spent the day hiking and exploring this little town and I was consistently overcome with how lucky and really, really blessed I am. I think getting the opportunity to get away from the city and slow down a little bit allowed me to look at my current situation and appreciate it. It was one of the first times I think I truly believed that everything was going to be just fine.

"I don't believe in astrology; I'm a Sagittarius and we're skeptical."

Day 7- Your zodiac sign and if you think it fits your personality.

I'm really not into horoscopes and don't think they have any validity. That being said, I do think they're amusing and, while usually pretty general, can be accurate. I've also never had a serious relationship with anyone that wasn't an Aquarius which is interesting I imagine. Aaaaand those are all my thoughts on horoscopes. It seems some of these topics are a bit more stimulating than others.

"It takes courage to grow up and become who you really are."

Day 05- A time you thought about ending your own life.

I have never, ever thought about ending my own life.

Admittedly, there were days that I would have preferred not to participate in but only in the sense that I would rather have stayed in bed than get up and deal with the complete mind explosion that had, at that time, become my life. Not having one of those sorts of days in a long number of months allows me to gain enough perspective to at least see how those days have made me stronger. I may not be far enough removed from them to be exactly sure why they had to happen as they did but I do believe that by getting up and facing those days, it's made a 12 hour workday, a day of laundry and cleaning or a day traveling away from home still seem like a blessing in comparison.

Just keep swimming.

"I can't brag about my love for God because I fail him daily, but I can brag about His love for me because it never fails."

Day 04- Your views on religion.

I was on a blogging roll (...three posts) when I hit this one. I'm not sure I can really sum up my views on religion in a blog post. Actually, I'm 14,000% sure of it. But I'll make an attempt...

My most basic philosophy has always been that I'd rather live my life with the assumption that there was an afterlife and die to find out there wasn't than to live as though there weren't one and die to find out there was. It's just math really...

I have always been a Christian. So at the very core, I imagine that in itself could be considered my view on religion. However, recently, my views have really started evolving in (what I believe) is a really awesome way. I've realized that God isn't just someone I'm working to get to spend eternity with (which, of course, he is) but he is also someone who can change my life every single day. I absolutely still think that living a life that will ultimately get you to heaven is an excellent plan. However, lately I am of the thought that by putting Jesus at the forefront of my mind every day, instead of seeing him as someone I'm hoping to "get to" after I die, every single day is better. I've felt like I've always been looking for "something" and I've even said before that sometimes part of me feels compelled to try to accomplish something just for the sake of seeing if I could accomplish the goal and not necessarily because the end result was something I really wanted. Jesus, heaven, eternal life, etc have always been things I've always wanted, of couse. Who doesn't? But until very recently it never occurred to me that this is the "something" I've been looking for. This is the ultimate goal. Regardless of where I am, what I'm doing, who I'm with, if I'm walking with God everyday, them I'm all set.
